Hoplodactylus are a genus of large New Zealand geckos including the northern and southern Duvaucel's gecko and presumed extinct Kawekaweau / Delcourt's gecko (Hoplodactylus delcourti). All members of the genus are highly susceptible to mammalian predators and went extinct on the mainland following the introduction of predatory mammals to New Zealand.
