Reptiles this care guide covers
Falla's skinks (Oligosoma fallai) are one of New Zealand's largest skinks and endemic to the Three Kings Islands (only found there).
These skinks have proven relatively hardy in captivity. The main challenge this species poses is that despite their size and robust build they are incredibly fast / agile. Care needs to be taken to making sure their enclosures are escape-proof and that they do not jump out when enclosure doors are open.
Falla's skinks can be held on second-level permits (Insurance population species).
